If you’re looking for a very cool way to make your pond look more dramatic, I really like the Colorfalls that Atlantic Water Gardens makes.  It’s basically a lighted weir, so you end up with a waterfall with light flowing along with the water.  It’s a very cool look.  We’ll be doing a full post on them soon(ish).  In the meantime, here’s a picture:
