This week’s wallpaper features one of the prettiest bugs that I absolutely love to hate, the Japanese Beetle. I wrote earlier this week about how to get rid of these little monsters (or, better yet, avoid the thing that will make them come to your garden in droves), so it only seemed fair to show the prettier side of them, too. Not that I feel like I owe them much after spending so much of you youthful summers cleaning out those infernal traps. You can see a little bit of the damage that these guys do in this photo, a little chunk of petal missing from the flower. That’s how they work, they attack the most tender parts of the plant, leaving the foliage looking like skeletons of it’s former glory. Not a creature that you want in your garden in any kind of numbers.
